Frank Edward Deminoff

Frank Edward Deminoff, 83, of 41 James St. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on July 30, 1922, son of the late Walter and Anna Kosowan Deminoff, he attended local schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Deminoff was last employed for the former E.D. Jones as a laborer for more than 40 years, retiring in 1983. He was a Red Sox fan and enjoyed traveling. He leaves three sisters, Josephine D. Duby of Lenox Dale, Nina A. Veltri, with whom he made his home, and Sophie Gardner of Marblehead; a daughter, Sharon Maloy of Pittsfield; and a granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral Services for Frank E. Deminoff, who died Feb. 24, 2006, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. John Salatino, pastor of St. Mark's Church, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Pittsfield Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Mr. Deminoff leaves a loving granddaughter, Stacey Maloy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Deminoff.
