Donald Arthur Mahoney

Donald Arthur Mahoney, 77, of 73 Bracewell Ave. died Tuesday morning at his home. Born in North Adams on July 24, 1928, son of the late Arthur and Naomi Dufrain Mahoney, he attended local schools. Mr. Mahoney worked for many years as a custodian at Williams College and, before that, at the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. in North Adams. He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Rolande M. Remillard, whom he married on June 21, 1952. He leaves two sons, Richard A. Mahoney and Timothy J. Mahoney, both of North Adams; a daughter, Nancy Bonneville Church of the town of Florida; a sister, June Kimball of Great Barrington, and four grandsons. He was predeceased by a son, Michael D. Mahoney, who died in 1997. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Donald A. Mahoney, who died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, will be held on Friday March 10, at 9 a.m. from AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
