Anthony A. Wojcik, 53

ADAMS, Mass. — Anthony A. Wojcik, 53, of 7 North Summer St. died Wednesday morning, March 8, 2006, at his home following a long battle with cancer.

Born on July 2, 1952, son of the late Albert and Helen Bryda Wojcik, he attended Adams schools, including St. Stanislaus School, and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1970.

Mr. Wojcik was an operating engineer working on construction, pipeline, and demolition projects throughout the Northeast. He worked for several different companies in New England including the former Krutiak Construction Co. and then Petricca Construction Co. in Pittsfield for many years, retiring in 2003 due to ill health.

He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church. Mr. Wojcik was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 98, and he was a member of the Historical Construction Equipment Association, where one of his main interest was the history and development of construction equipment.

Mr. Wojcik leaves two sisters, Frances Petsche and her husband Don of Spring Valley, Calif., and Theresa Remillard and her husband Roland of Adams; three nephews, Don, James, and William, and one niece, Deborah.

He was predeceased by a brother, John A. Wojcik.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and burial for Anthony A. Wojcik, who died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, will be at a later date, to be announced at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in his memory can be made the Appalachian Mountain Club or the Adams Ambulance through TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, who are in charge of arrangements.
