Nancy J. Brosnihan, 73
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Nancy Jean Brosnihan, 73, of 165 North St. died Sunday morning, March 12, 2006, at Noble Hospital in Westfield, where she was admitted on Feb. 19, 2006.
Born in Worcester on May 6, 1932, daughter of Forrest and Violet Rose Dansereau Farrin, she attended schools in Worcester, North Adams and Adams, including the former Adams High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Ms. Brosnihan was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. in her early years.
She enjoyed walking and gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother.
She leaves her former husband, Francis Brosnihan of Worcester; three sons, James A. and Paul F. Brosnihan of North Adams and John J. Brosnihan of Portsmouth, N.H.; a daughter, Esther Mary Kanelos of North Adams; a brother, Forrest Farrin Jr. of Whitehall, Mich.; five sisters, Dorothy Goodermote of Stamford, Vt., Irene Farrin and Gloria Whipple, both of North Adams, Geraldine Washkevich of Grafton, Mae Brodeur of Riverside, Calif.; five grandchildren, Leigh Ann Brosnihan, Erin Marie Brosnihan, Courtney Joan Brosnihan, Amanda Lynn Kanelos and Anthony James DeMarsico, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Ball.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ms. Brosnihan will be celebrated Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony's Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling Hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, are Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
