Janet M. Feeley

Janet M. Feeley, 72, of 28 Sturgis Ave. died yesterday at home after a long battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield on May 2, 1933, daughter of Walter and Isabelle Carey Eichelser, she was a graduate of St. Mary's School and a 1951 graduate of Lee High School. Mrs. Feeley was employed by General Electric Co. in the payroll department from 1951 to 1959. During the 1970s, she displayed her sewing talents in craft shows throughout New England and New York state. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She and her husband, John T. Feeley, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 26. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, James W. Feeley of Lee; a daughter, Julie M. Ingram of Lee; a sister, Mary A. Tyer of Lenox Dale, and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Janet Feeley, who died Monday, March 27, 2006, will be Thursday at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, to the Lee VNA or to the Berkshire Humane Society, all in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
