Roland George Morgan

Roland George Morgan, 67, of 27 Apache Drive died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on July 21, 1938, son of the late Henry F. and Leona Goodrow Morgan, he attended schools there. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Morgan was employed by Aladco Laundry in Adams as a salesman, retiring because of back problems. Before that, he was a construction worker for several area companies. He was a member of Greylock Community Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and other sports. He and his wife, the former Carol L. Perry, were married Dec. 11, 1961. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Cindy M. Demarsico of North Adams; three sisters, Mary Hewitt of Bennington, Vt., Beverly Briggs of North Adams and Patricia Jolin of Lanesborough; three brothers, Robert Morgan of Pownal, Vt., Richard Morgan of North Carolina, and Ralph Morgan of North Adams, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Roland George Martin, who died Saturday, April 8, will be Tuesday, April 11, at 11 at AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 9 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home, 46 North Church St., North Adams, MA 01247. Mr. Morgan also leaves three grandchildren, Tristan Ryczek, and Dillon and Kendall Demarsico, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
