Mary-Edna Searing

Mary-Edna Searing, 86, of 6 Lukeman Lane died Sunday at home. Born in Stockbridge on April 9, 1920, daughter of Raymond and Beatrice Jerome Pixley, she was a 1938 graduate of the former Williams High School. Mrs. Searing was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, gardening and bird watching. She and her husband, Harry L. Searing, were married in 1951. He died Jan. 9, 1996. She leaves a daughter, Barbara L. Lord of Sheffield; three sons, Ken A. Searing of Bradenton, Fla., Jeffrey A. Searing of Hinsdale and Linden Searing of Stockbridge; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Mary-Edna Searing, who died Sunday, April 9, 2006, will be conducted Thursday at 11 at First Congregational Church in Stockbridge by the Rev. Steve W. Bridges, pastor. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to the Salvation Army or to Pleasant Valley Sanctuary in Lenox, in care of KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Mrs. Searing leaves eight grandchildren, Amy, Christian, Matthew, Julie, Kristie, Casey, Tyler and Travis; her great-granddaughters, Brianna and Kaelin; her daughters-in-law, Mary, Nancy and Robin, and son-in-law, Eddie. Mrs. Searing had a strong faith in Christ and a love of family.
