Elaine Anne Ellsworth, 72, of 241 Mohawk Forest Boulevard died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on March 24, 1934, daughter of George A. and Sheriban Nahmie Nassif, she was a graduate of Drury High School. Mrs. Ellsworth was employed by Village Taxi Service in Williamstown. Before that, she worked as a switchboard operator at New England Telephone Co. and as a domestic for several area families. She and her husband, Robert S. Ellsworth, were married July 2, 1960. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Lori Carter of Plymouth and Nancy Adams of North Adams; two sisters, Jean McKerrow of Clearwater, Fla., and Donna Rogers of Brookville, Md.; two brothers, Frederick J. Nassif of Clearwater and Fuad A. Nassif of Dalton, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Elaine A. Nassif Ellsworth, who died Saturday, April 15, 2006, will be Friday at 3 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 1 to 3. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Lung Association through the funeral home. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. Survivors include six grandchildren, Seth, Jillian, Nathan and Victoria Carter, and Megan and Morgan Adams, and two sons-in-law, Kenneth Adams Jr. and Earl Carter Jr. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward F. Nassif.
