Edna E. Tench

Edna E. Tench, 90, of 585 Robinson Road died Sunday at home. Born in South Nyack, N.Y., on Nov. 2, 1915, daughter of Sidney W. and Emma Crouter Snedeker, she graduated from Nyack High School and Nyack Community College. Mrs. Tench was an antiques dealer for 35 years. She moved to Hinsdale in 1958. She was a painter and a poet and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She and her husband, Donald R. Tench, were married Aug. 23, 1947. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Kathleen Adams of Amesbury; a son, Newton Tench of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private burial for Edna Snedeker Tench, who died Sunday, April 30, 2006, will be held at the convenience of the family in Clarksburg Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226. She also leaves her grandchildren, Jessie O'Keefe, Nathan Alden, Philip Alden, Jay Tench and James Tench.
