Paul Gerard Lepicier

Paul Gerard Lepicier, 74, a resident of 191 Watson Road, Hinsdale, for the past three months, formerly of 65 West Mountain Road, Cheshire and Adams, died Tuesday afternoon at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Nov. 16, 1931, son of Lucien E. and Laura Ducharme Lepicier, he was a 1951 graduate of the former Adams High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Lepicier was employed by the former Adams Supermarkets as dairy manager at its West Street, Pittsfield, store from 1956 until its closing in 1984. At the time of his death, he was employed at Stop & Shop Supermarket on Merrill Road, where he had worked since 1989. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. He enjoyed tending to his roses, and was a fisherman who also enjoyed football and was a New England Patriots fan. He and his wife, the former Lura Kelson, were married June 15, 1963, at Notre Dame Church in Adams. She predeceased him on Aug. 7, 2000. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Joanne M. Gaylord of Orlando, Fla., and Jeanann R. Hatch of Hinsdale, with whom he resided; a son, Allen L. Lepicier of Cheshire; three sisters, Jeanette Waite of Grand Rapids, Mich., Rita Hartwig of Adams and Henrietta Lepicier of Adams; a brother, Roland Lepicier of Williamstown, and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Paul Gerard Lepicier, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, was predeceased by a sister, Lucy Lucier, late of Williamstown, and a brother, Ralph Lepicier, late of Oregon. A graveside service for Mr. Lepicier will be held Monday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Cheshire Cemetery, with the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Lepicier may be made to the Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department in care of DERY CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire, MA 01225.
