Janet Lee Barber Reynolds

Janet Lee Barber Reynolds, 73, of 99 Middle Pownal Road died Thursday evening at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington. Born in North Adams, Mass., on Dec. 19, 1932 daughter of Stella O. Palmer Graney Bastien and the late Alvin Graney, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. Ms. Reynolds was employed by Williams College in the housekeeping department for 20 years until her retirement in 1996. Before that, she worked at the former Warren Wire Co. in Pownal. She was a member of First Baptist Church in North Adams. She enjoyed traveling. Her former husband, Edward Reynolds is deceased. She leaves her mother of Pownal; three sons, Wayne B. Barber of North Adams; Scott J. Barber of Pownal, with whom she made her home, and David Reynolds of Ledyard, Conn., and her ex-husband, Byron Barber of the State of Florida. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Janet Reynolds, who died Thursday, May 25, 2006, will be celebrated on Thursday, June 1at 1 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS - CENTRAL CHAPELS with the Rev. David Anderson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in North Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. A sister, Eileen Noel Urquhart, died on Oct. 21, 2004.
