Blanche M. St. Germain

Blanche M. St. Germain, 90, formerly of 75 Commercial St., died yesterday morning at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on Feb. 26, 1916, daughter of Arthur and Roseanna Cardinal Gagnon, she attended Adams schools, including the former Notre Dame School. At the age of 24, she moved to Newport, N.H., where she lived for several years, and then to Berkwick, Maine, where she was employed by General Electric Co. She returned to Adams in 1954 and was employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway Co. until its closing in 1957. She was last employed by the former Adams Rest Home, retiring in 1963. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. She and her husband, Arnie St. Germain, were married Dec. 31, 1934. He predeceased her on Jan. 13, 1982. She leaves a son, Richard St. Germain of Adams; four sisters, Carol Rodick of Adams, Linda McTavich of Westfield, Barbara Drobiak of Brockton and Margaret Roth of Williamstown; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Blanche M. St. Germain, who died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, will take place Friday, June 9, 2006, at 9 a.m. from TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERALHOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory an be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Gagnon.
