Dolores Maria Rancatti

Dolores Maria Rancatti, 70, of 54 Orchard St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Adams on Feb. 24, 1936, daughter of Harvey A. and Wilma Boruta Giroux, she graduated from St. Stanislaus' School in 1949 and from the former Adams High School in 1953. She also attended the former Bliss Business School in North Adams. Ms. Rancatti was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 37 years as an executive secretary. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. She leaves her former husband, Peter Rancatti of Hinsdale; two sons, Jan Christopher Rancatti of Readsboro, Vt., and Ronald E. Rancatti of Adams; a daughter, Donna Richards of North Adams; a brother, Harvey Giroux of Adams; a sister, Christine Abbott of Adams, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Dolores Maria "Dolly" Rancatti, who died Saturday, June 10, 2006, will take place Monday, June 19, at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Adams. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, which is in charge of arrangements. She leaves six grandchildren, Sandra Overlock, Pvt. 1st Class Nathaniel Richards, and Brian, Julie, Nancy and Michelle Richards, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Giroux, and a sister, Virginia Giroux.
