Charles F. Hall Jr.

Charles F. Hall Jr., 66, of 50 New Hampshire Ave. died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Ghent, N.Y., on April 14, 1940, son of the late Charles F. Hall Sr. and Gladys Deamer Hall, he was educated in Ghent schools and moved to Pittsfield at the age of 16. He was employed as a painter by the former Sedwick and Novack Painting Contractors, retiring in 1989 due to poor health after 25 years of service. Prior to that, he was employed as a painter by the former Angelo Fabino Painting Shop. He was a member of the Painters and Allied Trade Union No. 257. He enjoyed fishing with his grandson. He and his wife, the former Eleanor Luciani, were married Jan. 21, 1961. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Nancy Ann Moffett of Adams; three sisters, Ruth Williams of Cohoes, N.Y., Elsie Schneider of Kentwood, La., and Charlotte Thomas of Pittstown, N.Y., and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Charles F. Hall, 66, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006. There are no public calling hours. He was a devoted grandfather to his two grandchildren, Jennifer Segala and Matthew Moffett, both of Adams; his son-in-law, Richard Moffett, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, George Hall. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is in charge of arrangements.
