Charlotte C. Mountain

Charlotte C. Mountain, 89, of 55 East Center St. died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 29, 1917, daughter of Clifton and Rose Hebert Coons, she was a 1934 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She moved to Lee in 1946. After graduation, she worked at A.H. Rice Silk Mill in Pittsfield. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and enjoyed playing cards and board games, and traveling. She and her husband, Matthew F. Mountain, were married Aug. 31, 1946. He died May 9, 1999. She leaves three daughters, Rosemary M. Tirrell of Westfield, Lisa A. Tenney of West Stockbridge and Christine E. Mountain of Lee, with whom she resided; two sons, John J. Mountain of Richmond and Dennis P. Mountain of Lee, and six grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Charlotte C. Mountain, who died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, will be tomorrow, June 16, at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church celebrating her life. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations to the Lee Volunteer Ambulance Association, in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee MA 01238. She leaves six grandchildren, Nichole and Daryll Tenney, Matthew Tirrell, and Andrea, Brian and Connor Mountain. She also enjoyed listening to music and going for long rides.
