Anna Marie Levesque

Anna Marie Levesque, 93, of 32 Spring St., died yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons Care Center. Born in Canada on June 30, 1912, daughter of Paul and Eva Dionne Martel, she attended the former Notre Dame school in Adams. She came to Adams in 1924, raising her sister Victoria because of the death of her mother at the age of 39. Mrs. Levesque was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a communicant of a Notre Dame church. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting, embroidering and reading. She and her husband, Arthur Joseph Levesque, were married Sept. 2, 1929. He died Sept. 11, 1983. She leaves three daughters, Diana Beaudin of Pittsfield, Claire Boyer of Williamstown and Laurette Lyons of Adams, with whom she made her home; a son, Clovis Levesque of Enfield, Conn.; five sisters, Lea Kleiner and Alice Foote, both of California, Jean Foote of Tennessee, and Lena Biron and Antoinette Bator, both of Adams; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anna Marie Levesque, who died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, will take place Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10 a.m. from TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Church in Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations in her memory can be made to the Notre Dame & St. Thomas Church renovation fund through the funeral home. Two sisters, Victoria Martel and Evelyn Rupprucht, and three brothers, Francis Martel, Leo Martel and Rosario Martel, predeceased her.
