Lillian Monica Piwko

Lillian Monica Piwko, 87, of 4 Second St. died yesterday at Medway Country Manor in Medway. Born in Adams on Jan. 20, 1919, daughter of Charles and Katherine Lenartowicz Gutowski, she attended Adams schools. Mrs. Piwko was primarily a homemaker, but worked for several years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a member of the Polish Women's Alliance. Her husband, Clemens W. Piwko, whom she married Sept. 5, 1936, died Nov. 12, 1994. She leaves a son, Robert C. Piwko of Milford; two sisters, Melanie Anton and Irene Belch, both of Adams; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lillian Monica Piwko, who died Sunday, July 2, 2006, will be Thursday, July 6, at 9 a.m. from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus' Church in Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet Wednesday at 3:40 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday to pay their respects and recite the rosary. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Mary Piwko; three grandchildren, Paul Piwko of Milford, Robert Piwko Jr. of Sparta, N.J., and Ann McQuiston of Webster; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' School through the funeral home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA 01220.
