Helen C. Casuscelli

Helen C. Casuscelli, 94, of 20 Sperry Ave. died yesterday at home. Born in North Adams on June 17, 1912, daughter of Ferdinando Scerbo and Maria Scerbo Scerbo, she attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. Casuscelli was primarily a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, and enjoyed bingo. She and her husband, Bernard M. Casuscelli, were married June 21, 1930. He died May 16, 1986. She leaves a daughter, Teresa M. Macksey of North Adams; a son, Louis B. Casuscelli of North Adams; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Helen Casuscelli, who died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, will be Saturday, July 8, at 8:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony's Building Fund or the North Adams Ambulance Service, care of the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. She also leaves four grandchildren, Susan L. Ferreira of North Adams, Libby Macksey of Cheshire, David Casuscelli of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Jennifer Macksey-Ethier of North Adams; two great-grandchildren, Brendan Casuscelli and Ian Casuscelli, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Amalia Siciliano, and two brothers, Eugene and Dominick Scerbo. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
