Lucille E. Ruel

Lucille E. Ruel, 81, of East Street died yesterday at home. Born in Passaic, N.J., on Feb. 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Hugh and Viola Collins. She lived in Queensbury, N.Y., for 12 years before moving to Lee in 2002. Mrs. Ruel was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She spent most of her life in Ramsey, N.J., where she did volunteer work for her church and community. She and her husband, Roger Ruel, were married Sept. 10, 1944. He died May 10, 2002. She leaves three daughters, Lisa R. Callahan of Lee, Michele R. Meyers of Ramsey and Deborah A. Wind of Tehachapi, Calif.; four sons, Roger J. Ruel of Siloam, N.C., Paul B. Ruel of Alamo, Calif., John A. Ruel of Tuxedo, N.Y., and Peter E. Ruel of Ramsey; a sister, Dorothy Malcolm of Ridgewood, N.J.; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Lucille Ruel, who died Saturday, July 8, 2006, was a beloved mother and friend who will be remembered in a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Friends wishing to make donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires may do so in care of the funeral home. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion Keay.
