Richard W. Gazaille

Richard W. Gazaille, 51, of Bannister Hill Road, a former longtime resident of Adams, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Adams on June 27, 1955, son of Leo E. and the late Dorothy Rose Bard Gazaille, he attended Adams schools, including the former Commercial Street Grammar School, the former C.T. Plunkett Junior High School and the former Adams Memorial High School. He was employed by Powder Shield Co. until being disabled by a work-related accident eight years ago. Previously, he worked at Arnold Print Works and the Seal Fab Co. of Wisconsin. He attended Notre Dame Church in North Adams, and enjoyed fishing in local streams, playing billiards, and his Honda Shadow bike. He and his wife, the former Sandra A. Hranicka, were married Feb. 15, 1985. Besides his wife and father, of Williamstown, he leaves two daughters, Carrie Gazaille of Pownal, and Heather J. Gazaille of Adams; two sisters, Debra L. Fletcher of Adams and Robin Senay of North Adams; two brothers, Barry A. Gazaille of Adams and Dennis L. Gazaille of Stratford, Conn., and two grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A prayer service in the Roman Catholic tradition for Richard Gazaille, who died Saturday, July 8, 2006, will be celebrated Wednesday, July 12, at 1 p.m. from MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME. A visitation period will be held for family and friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Robert Moulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
