Thelma Stark

Thelma Stark, 76, of Fox Farm Road, New Ipswich, NH., formerly of West Stockbridge, died Sunday at Harborside Pheasantwood in Peterborough, N.H., following a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 13, 1929, in Tyngsboro, daughter of John and Hilda Peterson Dolan, she was educated in local schools. In the 1980s, she attended Berkshire Community College. She lived for several years in West Stockbridge and was a chef and kitchen supervisor at Wheatleigh Inn in Lenox. She was also a home health aide. While in New Ipswich, she was a member of the New Ipswich Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed artwork, especially woodburning and embroidery, and baking. She leaves her husband of 57 years, Elmer A. Stark of New Ipswich, N.H. In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, David E. Stark of Chapel Hill, N.C., Karl A. Stark of Madison, Wis., and James Erik Stark of Woodstock, Conn.; four daughters, Nancy R. Jorgensen of Scott Depot, W.V., Alexandra Stark of Matthews, N.C., Laurie A. Stark of Portland, Conn., and Katrina L. Soucy of Sweden, Maine; a brother, Robert Dolan of Zephyrhills, Fla.; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Thelma Stark, who died Sunday, July 16, 2006, will be Wednesday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at FOURNIER FUNERAL HOME, 12 High St., Greenville, N.H. A funeral service will be Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m. in the New Ipswich Congregational Church, Main St., New Ipswich, with Dr. K. Joshua Christiansen, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Smithville Cemetery, New Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Fair c/o New Ipswich Congregational Church, P.O.
