Ruth Eleanor Goodrich

Ruth Eleanor Goodrich, 68, of 39 Elm St. died yesterday at home. Born in North Adams on Sept. 24, 1937, daughter of the late Eugene J. Goodrich Sr. and Gladys Fulton Goodrich, she lived in Williamstown and attended schools there. Miss Goodrich was last employed in the restaurant at St. Joseph's Court in North Adams. Before that, she worked at the former Hills Department Store and at Brannings Restaurant in North Adams. She enjoyed knitting and listening to country music. She leaves a brother, Eugene J. Goodrich Jr. of Colorado. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ruth Goodrich, who died July 31, 2006, will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at 1:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, North Adams, by the Rev. Edward King, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to BFAIR or to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247. She leaves a niece, Patricia Goodrich of North Adams; a nephew, Michael Goodrich of Readsboro, Vt., and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She also leaves her longtime friend and companion, Jennifer Hoag of North Adams, and her many friends and associates with BFAIR and her housemates on Elm Street in Adams.
