Robert Donald Tremblay

Robert Donald Tremblay, 51, of 240 East Drive, Copiague, N.Y., a native of Adams, died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, N.Y., after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Sept. 7, 1954, son of Claire Ouellette Tremblay Kennedy and the late William J. Tremblay, he was a 1972 graduate of Hoosac Valley High School and attended Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield. In 1974 he moved to New York and later settled in Copiague, N.Y. Mr. Tremblay was a mortgage trader for Daiwa Corp. in New York. While in Adams, he was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Besides his mother, of Adams, he leaves two sisters, E. Jean Loffler and Joan Cain, both of Williamstown, and two brothers, William Tremblay of Beaufort, S.C., and Daniel Tremblay of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert Donald Tremblay, who died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 9 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame Church in Adams celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Barbayard Cutting Arboretum State Park, Babylon, N.Y., through the funeral home.
