Rebecca A. Spaniol

Rebecca A. Spaniol, 92, formerly of RiverRun Apartments, died Monday, Aug. 14, at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Wells, Vt., on March 9, 1914, daughter of Fred and Florence Haskins Fisher, she attended schools in Vermont. Mrs. Spaniol was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Her husband, Donald Spaniol, died in 1986. Mrs. Spaniol leaves two sons, Donald Spaniol of Massachusetts and Harold Spaniol of Meuthuen; a daughter, Vera "Peachie" Fontaine of Dalton; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-granchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Rebecca A. Spaniol, who died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Ashuelot Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Spaniol may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
