Carleigha "Pumpkin" Lichaa

Carleigha "Pumpkin" Lichaa, 25, of 17 Murray St. died Tuesday at North Adams Regional Hospital after a short illness. Born in New York on Aug. 4, 1981, daughter of Louis and Paula Smith Kelsey, she was a 1999 graduate of the High School for Social Change in Bronx, N.Y. At the time of her death, Ms. Lichaa was employed as a telemarketer. Before that, she worked at KB Toys on the help line. She attended Adams Congregational and Seventh-day Adventist churches. She enjoyed needlepoint and latch hooking, and reading. Besides her parents, of Adams, she leaves three sisters, Jerle Moore of New York, Quanda Kelsey of Pittsfield and Sherron Kelsey of Adams, and a brother, Mario Kelsey of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Carleigha Kelsey "Pumpkin" Lichaa, who died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. at Adams Congregational Church by the Rev. Mike Mullany, pastor. Additional services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, by the Rev. Willard Durant. Cremation will follow. She enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephew, and was an advocate for her friends whenever they needed help. She also leaves three aunts, Lavaughn Davies of Pittsfield, Serta Kelsey of Baltimore and Candace Kelsey of Arizona; a niece; two nephews, and a host of cousins.
