Donna Marie Bierbower

Donna Marie Bierbower, 58, of Salisbury Road died Monday at home following a brief illness. Born in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 22, 1947, daughter of Lionel and Mary Uliano Mann, she attended schools there and was a graduate of the high school located in Suffield, Conn. Mrs. Bierbower owned and operated a bed and breakfast, Angel Hill, in Norfolk, Conn., until 2005. She spent more than seven years living in Hawaii and, later, in the state of Washington, before making Sheffield her home in May 2005. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sheffield. She enjoyed painting watercolors and furniture. She and her husband, Beryle T. Bierbower, were married Nov. 3, 1991, in Norfolk, Conn. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Lionel A. Bierbower of Sheffield, John L. Allen of Canaan, Conn., and Michael Patrick Allen of New Hartford, Conn.; three stepdaughters, Ami Bierbower of Winchester, Conn., Kim Turner of San Diego, and Jan Waddington of Patterson, N.Y.; two sisters, Bernadette Mann of Enfield, Conn., and Elizabeth Takacs of Massachusetts; and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for the late Donna Marie Bierbower, who died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 1 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, conducted by Gino Pezze. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires through the funeral home, 426 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
