Beatrice Cecilia O'Brien, 92, of 125 Liberty St. died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Jan. 8, 1914, daughter of Adelord and Marie Simoneau Bresbois, she attended the former Notre Dame School. Mrs. O'Brien was employed by North Adams Regional Hospital as supervisor of the linen room, retiring in 1974 with 20 years of service. Before that, she was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for 10 years. She also worked at the former J.J. Newberry's, the former Wise Dress Shop and the former Gale Shoe Co. Her husband, Dennis E. O'Brien, whom she married May 30, 1934, at Notre Dame Church, died Aug. 7, 1988. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Beatrice Cecilia O'Brien, who died Sept. 24, 2006, will be Friday at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 to 11. Memorial donations are suggested for the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire or for the North Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home. She leaves nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
