Valmore S. Cloutier Sr.

Valmore S. Cloutier Sr., 72, formerly of 490 Savoy Road died Thursday at North Adams Commons. Born in Adams on Nov. 8, 1933, son of Valmore R. and Mildred Stone Cloutier, he attended schools there. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1958. Mr. Cloutier was employed by the Modern Aluminum Anodizing Corp. in North Adams as a foreman for over 20 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, he worked as a laborer in the construction of Bear Swamp Power Co. in Rowe. He enjoyed spending time at Hampton Beach, N.H. He leaves a daughter, Samantha Cloutier of North Adams, a son, Valmore S. Cloutier Jr. of Clarksburg; and a granddaughter. He also leaves his former wife, the former Beverly Flagg of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services and burial for Valmore S. Cloutier, who died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, will be private. There are no calling hours. TROTTER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams is in charge of arrangements. He also leaves a granddaughter, Kayla Cloutier of Clarksburg, and two nieces, Laurie Bissailon of Cheshire and Wendy Brophy of North Adams. He was predeceased by a sister, Octavia Brophy, and his longtime companion, Linda A. Gomeau.
