Patricia Mae Noel

Patricia Mae Noel, 83, of 186 Giles Road, died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Springfield on June 8, 1923, the daughter of Arba and Gladys Lucille Donaldson, she graduated from Springfield Commerce High School. During World War II she worked at American Bosch. She also worked at Jackson's Department Store in Springfield at its confections department. Mrs. Noel moved to Otis in 1966, where she and her husband, local artist Wallace George Noel, owned and operated the Otis Gallery from the early 1970s until 1982. They were married in 1946 and he died in 1986. She enjoyed tap dancing, crocheting, NASCAR and traveling to Florida. She is leaves two sons, Spencer H. Noel of Otis and James D. Noel of Lee; seven daughters, Lauren Mae Johnson of Pittsfield, Patricia L. Sercilj of Wilmington, Del., Dorothy L. Silkey of Otis, Jewel Ellen Noel of Pittsfield, Jacqueline D. Noel of Middletown, Conn., Jerrie L. Fredericks of Torrington, Conn., and Jody R. Noel of Grove City, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Livermore of Ludlow; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by another son, George Wallace Noel, who died in 1986. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Patricia Noel, who died Friday, October 20, 2006, will be Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Berkshire Hills Baptist Church in Lee. Burial will follow in Otis Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. Friends wishing to do so may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society in care of KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Mrs. Noel was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
