Dorothy May Kozik

Dorothy May Kozik, 72, of 2 Burnett St. died Saturday at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown. Born in Adams on May 27, 1934, daughter of Bruno and Helen Sikora Loc, she was a 1951 graduate of the former Adams High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in the Girls State program. Mrs. Kozik was office manager of the former Old Stone Mill for 40 years, retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member and secretary/treasurer of the Adams Town Democratic Committee. She enjoyed reading and swimming. She and her husband, Walter F. Kozik, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary Sept. 6. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, David Kozik of Maynard; three daughters, Karen Sherman of Pittsfield, Pamela Kozik of South Windsor, Conn., and Suzanne Koperniak of Nashua, N.H.; two sisters, Frances Wasko of Enfield, Conn., and Bernice "Bunny" Carlow of Adams; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anne Marie Weinberg, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 9 from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Patricia Kozik; two sons-in-law, Richard Sherman and Paul Koperniak; four grandchildren, Bryan and Kevin Kozik and Jacob and Julia Koperniak; two step-grandchildren, Scott Sherman and Heather Koperniak; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Irene Chojnowski, in 1997. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, MA 01230.
