Nancy Briaddy

Nancy Briaddy, 71, of 91 Columbia St., formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at home, where she lived with her daughter. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., on Aug. 25, 1935, daughter of Theodore and Marie Anderson Scheirer, she graduated from Syracuse Central High School. She came to this area in the late 1990s. Mrs. Briaddy was an insurance underwriter for Adam & Son in Auburn, N.Y. She attended the Adult Supportive Day Program run by the Adams Council on Aging. Her husband, Thomas Briaddy, died in 1998. She leaves two daughters, Nancy Gardner, with whom she resided, and Kathleen Diello of Bluffton, S.C.; two brothers, Theodore Scheirer of Syracuse and Donald Scheirer; three sisters, Dorothea Constantino of Jordan, N.Y., and Anita Connors and Carol Lombardo, both of Syracuse; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
