Theodore L. Bazinet Jr.

Theodore L. Bazinet Jr., 84, of 10 School St. died Thursday at North Adams Regional Hospital after a long illness. Born in Adams on July 21, 1922, son of Theodore L. Bazinet Sr. and Amy Howland Bazinet, he was a 1941 graduate of the former Adams High School. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served with the Construction Battalion (Seabees). Mr. Bazinet was employed by the former Arnold Print Works, retiring in 1984 as a supervisor in the shipping department. He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion Post 160 and the Adams Turners, where he was an accomplished bowler. He and his wife, the former Ethel E. Adams, were married April 14, 1955, at First Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves a stepdaughter, June Meehan of Auburn, N.Y.; a sister, Vernon O'Malley of Reading, Pa.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mr. Theodore L. Bazinet Jr., who died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Liberty St., Adams, by the Rev. Donald Gray, pastor of First Baptist Church, Adams. Interment will follow in the family lot in Bellevue Cemetery. A private viewing by family will be held Monday from 2 to 4. Mr. Bazinet also leaves many nieces and nephews. A brother, Louis Bazinet, and two sisters, Alice Gomeau and Pauline Papas, predeceased him.
