Guenter Franz Lehmann, 78, of 157 Cheshire Road died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 19, 1928, son of Erik and Katharina Schieferstein Lehmann, he graduated from schools in Germany and came to the United States in 1955. Mr. Lehmann was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as a life insurance salesman for 25 years. He retired from John Hancock Insurance Co. in 1995 with 10 years of service. He leaves his wife, the former Carol Pangman; a daughter, Didi Parr of Reno, Nev.; a stepdaughter, Sherrie Mickel of Schuylerville, Nev.; and a step-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mr. Guenter Franz Lehmann died in Pittsfield on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Joan Burhans; a brother- and sister-in-law, Hugh and Alice Pangman; two nephews, Bill and Timmy Burhans; a step-granddaughter, Maeve Gilman; and a son-in-law, Reg Parr. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Berkshire County Division of the American Heart Association, care of DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, in his memory.
