Dorothy M. Bourdon

Dorothy M. Bourdon, 93, of State Road, Route 41, died Sunday at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick, where she had resided since April. Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 8, 1913, daughter of John and Alice Simpson O'Hara, she was a 1931 graduate of the former Dalton High School. Mrs. Bourdon was a homemaker. She worked for a time as an assistant teacher at Richmond School. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge and active in the Richmond Seniors Group. She enjoyed knitting and fishing and was an active gardener. She and her husband, Hermas L. Bourdon, were married Oct. 28, 1939. He died Feb. 29, 1992. She leaves a daughter Patricia Bourdon-Peskoe of Cambridge; two sons, James Bourdon of Medfield and Bruce Bourdon of East Sandwich; and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dorothy M. Bourdon, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, will be celebrated tomorrow at St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME. Among survivors are her grandchildren, Chad, Shane, Sally and Jack Bourdon. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
