Joseph Trzcinka

Joseph Trzcinka, 76, of 2 Bernard Gibbons Dr. died Tuesday at the Great Barrington Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Housatonic on Dec. 16, 1929, son of Stanislaw and Marcianna Jaksina Trzcinka, he attended local schools and was a 1948 graduate of the former Searles High School. He served with the Army in the Korean conflict. He worked for M.T. Cavanaugh as a plumber for 33 years, retiring in 1990. He was a communicant of All Saints' Church and a member of the American Legion Post 350 in New Marlborough. He is survived by a sister, Stella Bubrzycki of Vernon, Conn. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside services with military honors for Joseph S. Trzcinka, who died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. in St. Bridget's Cemetery, with the Rev. Anthony Jutt officiating. There are no calling hours. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Trzcinka also leaves a nephew.
