Rosetta Pizzuto

Rosetta Pizzuto, 70, of 368 West Housatonic St. died Sunday at home. Born in Turrivalignani, province of Pescara, Italy, on May 11, 1936, daughter of Camillo and Genoeffa Speziosa DeLuca, she attended schools in Italy and emigrated to Pittsfield in 1955. She became a U.S. citizen in 1959. Mrs. Pizzuto worked as a crew chief at several McDonald's restaurants. Before that, she was a seamstress at various mills. She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed Italian music and movies. She and her husband, Robert C. Pizzuto, whom she married Sept. 6, 1958, at Mount Carmel Church, died Nov. 23, 2005. She leaves a son, Marcus Pizzuto of Milton, Pa.; two daughters, Gloria C. Pizzuto of Pittsfield and Lisa Pizzuto-Grace of Queens, N.Y.; two brothers, Ugo DeLuca and Quintino DeLuca, both of Turrivalignani; two sisters, Letizia Farinacci of Turrivalignani and Gina DeWolfe of Fort Myers, Fla.; and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Rosetta DeLuca Pizzuto, who died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County. in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements. Mrs. Pizzuto is lovingly survived by her three grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob Pizzuto, and Ashley Marie Grace; a daughter-in-law, Kellie Pizzuto; and a son-in-law, Artie Grace. She was predeceased by four brothers, Carlo, Guiseppe, Pompei and Rocco DeLuca. She enjoyed watching television and spending time with her family.
