Barbara Emma Fulvi

Barbara Emma Fulvi, 81, of 27 Country Road, died Tuesday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, where she had resided for the past three weeks. She had resided in Hinsdale since 1995, coming from Pittsfield, where she had resided since 1948. Born in Winsted, Conn., on Dec. 16, 1925, daughter of Raymond and Emma Huska Ellis, she attended schools there, and was a 1943 graduate of Gilbert School in Winsted. Mrs. Fulvi was employed as a respite companion for the elderly. From 1969 to her retirement in 1986, she was employed by the former First Agricultural Bank as a teller. Prior to her marriage, she had worked as a secretary and accountant for Capwell Manufacturing Co. in Hartford, Conn. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Hinsdale. She and her husband, Renato J. Fulvi, were married in West Hartford, Conn., on April 12, 1947. He died May 30, 1989. Mrs. Fulvi leaves three sons, Peter R. Fulvi of Northampton, Thomas L. Fulvi of Dalton and Jonathan E. Fulvi of Pittsfield; a sister, Gail Greenly of New London, N.H.; and a grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private graveside service for Barbara E. Fulvi, who died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial in her memory may be made to The May Institute in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, which is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Fulvi also leaves three nieces; a nephew; and a longtime family friend, Ken Stafford. She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Ellis Jr.
