Floyd W. Curtiss Jr.

Floyd W. Curtiss Jr., 49, of State Road, died Saturday after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Lenox. Born in Great Barrington on April 24, 1957, son of Eleanor Koncelik Curtiss and the late Floyd W. Curtiss Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Great Barrington and a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School. Mr. Curtiss was employed by McDonald's as a maintenance manager. He enjoyed gardening and selling his produce, fishing and animals. He and his wife, the former Catherine Edgecomb, were married Sept. 14, 1991. Besides his wife and his mother, of Pittsfield, he leaves two sisters, Ann Whipple of North Adams and Helen Moening of Pittsfield; and two stepbrothers, Donald Barnum of Taconic, Conn., and Louis Barnum of Lee. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Floyd W. Curtiss Jr., who died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, conducted by the Rev. Charles VanAusdall. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Those who desire may make contributions in his memory to the Floyd W.
