Carol M. O'Keefe-Stachura

Carol M. O'Keefe-Stachura, 66, of 14 Aztec Drive, died Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., while on vacation. Born in Philadelphia, on Dec. 15, 1940, daughter of the late Charles A. and Margaret Gormley Dickson, she attended Philadelphia schools and came to North Adams in 1967. Mrs. O'Keefe-Stachura was employed as a customer service representative for several local insurance agencies including Coakley, Pierpan, Dolan and Collins Insurance Agency and Reynolds, Barnes and Hebb Insurance in Pittsfield, retiring five years ago. Before that, she worked for 15 years in the office at Williamstown Medical Associates. She was predeceased by her first husband, William O'Keefe, and by her second husband, Richard Stachura. Mrs. O'Keefe-Stachura leaves a daughter, Kathleen M. Bergeron of Adams; two sons, William P. O'Keefe Jr. of Bethel, Conn., and Kevin J. O'Keefe of North Adams; two brothers, Robert Dickson of Warminster, Pa., and Arthur Dickson of Port Norris, N.J.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Carol M. O'Keefe-Stachura, who died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, will be Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. The Rev. R. Ellen White, priest-in-charge of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Adams, will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations may be made to any charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home. Mrs. O'Keefe-Stachura also leaves a son-in-law, Mark; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn O'Keefe, Tiffany O'Keefe, Shaun O'Keefe, Brittany O'Keefe, Steven Burbank and Nicholas Bergeron; a great-grandson, Keegan Sunn; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Dickson.
