Cecelia Lucy Krzanik, 90, formerly of 5 Marshall Ave., died Tuesday at River Garden Hebrew Home in Jacksonville, Fla., where she had resided for the past four years. Born in North Adams on Dec. 13, 1916, daughter of Anthony and Rosalie Obara Duda, she attended the former St. Joseph's Elementary School and was a graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School. She moved to Adams in 1949. Mrs. Krzanik worked at Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 25 years, retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband of 50 years, Aldo A. Krzanik, died on March 7, 1999. They were married on April 17, 1948, in St. Francis' Church in North Adams. She leaves two daughters, Patricia Brassard of Adams and Carol Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Cecelia Lucy Krzanik, who died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus' Church, celebrated by Rev. Bonaventure Moccia CP. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' Church or to the River Garden Hebrew Home through the funeral home. She was predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Stanley and Joseph Duda. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
