Ruth M. Ostrander Healy, 71, of Berkshire Village, died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Lenox on Oct. 21, 1935, daughter of Elmer G. Ostrander and Kathleen Hosker Ostrander, she was a 1954 graduate of Lenox High School. She moved to Lanesborough in 1956, and to Berkshire Village in 1965. Mrs. Healy was employed by Foresight Land Engineers as office manager, retiring in 2006 after 15 years of service. She was a communicant of North American Martyrs Church. She and Lawrence J. Healy were married on April 18, 1972 in Dalton. Mr. Healy died Feb. 20, 1997. She leaves a son, James A. Musgrove of San Diego; three sisters, Doris Ostrander of Pittsfield, Janet Langlois of Adams, and Lois Sykes of Lenox; and one granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ruth M. Healy, who died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, will be private. Services will be held at a later date; there are no calling hours. Arrangements are by DWYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North American Martyrs Church or St. Luke's Episcopal Church, in care of the funeral home.
