Lorraine Theresa Momaney Sartori

Lorraine Theresa Momaney Sartori, 79, of 369 Fred Mason Road, died early yesterday at the home of her niece, Carol Clerc, at 45 Notch Road, Adams. Born in Brattleboro, Vt., on Feb. 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Momaney and Caroline Smith Momaney. She attended schools in Brattleboro, including St. Michael's Parochial School, and graduated from Brattleboro High School. She also studied art at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield. Mrs. Sartori was first employed at the former Berkshire Mill and later worked at Brightwater Paper Co. and Sprague Electric Co. She was last employed by General Electric Co. in its Ordnance Department for 28 years until her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked at the former Filene's store at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Adams. She was an artist and was well-known for her oil paintings. She maintained flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed travel and trips to the casino. She leaves her husband, Milton L. Sartori, whom she married Nov. 11, 1950, in Brattleboro, Vt. A son, Mark Sartori, died Feb. 18, 1974. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A private funeral for Lorraine Sartori, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, will be held at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Baystate Medical Center in care of the funeral home. Survivors include nieces and nephews. A son, Mark Sartori, died on Feb. 18, 1974. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
