Priscilla Keresey

Priscilla Keresey, 84, of State Line Road, died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Astoria, Queens, N.Y., on Feb. 2, 1923, daughter of Eugene and Helen Casterline Shrigley, she attended local schools and graduated from Baldwin (N.Y.) High School. Mrs. Keresey was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Stockbridge for several years. She and her husband, John J. Keresey, were married April 15, 1950, in Danbury, Conn., and later moved to West Stockbridge. He died in 1986. Mrs. Keresey leaves two daughters, Constance Keresey of Woodbury, Vt., and Kathleen Keresey of Stockbridge; a son, John J. Keresey Jr. of Housatonic; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Priscilla Keresey, who died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Health of Richmond and West Stockbridge or the Berkshire Humane Society through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Mrs. Keresey also leaves a son-in-law, Robert Appel; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Jean Hadsell; her grandchildren, Ben and Lucas Appel and Tanuya Hadsell and her husband, Tom Netzer, and their two children, Kelsey and Thomas. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Veit, and her brother, Eugene Shrigley.
