Juliette Pevoski

Juliette Pevoski, 90, of 21 McLagen Drive, died yesterday at Sweetbrook Care Center in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on June 12, 1916, daughter of Joseph D. and Albertine Brosseau Bourgeois, she attended schools in North Adams, including the former Notre Dame Elementary School. Mrs. Pevoski was employed by Williams College, where she worked in the kitchen. She had also worked in the kitchen at Charles H. McCann Technical High School in North Adams. Before that, she had been a supervisor for Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in North Adams. She enjoyed cooking. Her husband, Joseph J. Pevoski, whom she married Aug. 9, 1947, died Sept. 21, 1985. Mrs. Pevoski leaves a son, retired Lt. Col. Richard J. Pevoski of Garnish, Germany, and a daughter, Theresa Brown of Clarksburg. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Juliette Pevoski, who died Monday, April 9, 2007, will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the AUGE-SAN SOUCIE-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 46 North Church St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Francis' Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Sweetbrook Care Center Patient Activities Fund, 1561 Cold Spring Road, Williamstown, MA 01267. Mrs. Pevoski also leaves four grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending time, Laurie Lemaire, Charles Lemaire Jr., and Anna and Franziska Pevoski; five great-grandchildren, Branden, Sierra and Hayley Simard and Kelsey and Jazmyne Lemaire; several nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Jutta; and a son-in-law, John. She was predeceased by two brothers, Valmore and Arthur Bourgeois, and by two sisters, Olive Shea and Jeannette Bourgeois.
