Linda S. Eichstedt, 60, of Christian Hill Road, died Tuesday morning at her home following a long illness. A native and lifelong resident of Berkshire County, Linda was born in Egremont on March 14, 1947, the daughter of Walter and Wilhamina Marion Stalker. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Searles High School in Great Barrington. Linda worked for Country Curtains for many years in the manufacturing/shipping department until retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She loved reading and crocheting, and especially cherished time spent with family and friends. Linda married John H. Eichstedt Jr., on Sept. 25, 1965. Besides her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Marlena Moro of Great Barrington; a brother Roger Stalker of Fontana, Calif.; and two sisters, Florence Sigsworth of Ocala, Fla. and Millie King of Nokomis, Fla. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Linda S. Eichstedt, who died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at FINNERTY AND STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Great Barrington. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
