Beatrice Marguerite Wood, 85, of 2407 Sagarmal Court, Dunn Loring, Va., formerly of 51 Melrose St., died Thursday at home. She moved to Virginia to live with her son, Gregory J. Wood, in 2006. Born in Adams on Jan. 20, 1922, daughter of Elie and Blanche Brodeur Langlois, she graduated from the former Adams High School in 1940. Mrs. Wood was a library assistant at Hoosac Valley High School until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas, where she was active in fund-raising activities. She also helped coordinate and plan class reunion activities. Her husband, Roy James Wood, whom she married Feb. 17, 1944, died Jan. 1, 2002. Besides her son, she leaves two sisters, Connie Weiss of Gloversville, N.Y., and Isabelle Girard of Adams; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren. Another son, Brian R. Wood, died Dec. 2, 1993. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Beatrice Marguerite Langlois Wood, 85, who died Thursday, April 19, 2007, will be Saturday, at 9 a.m. from PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Parishes of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood also leaves her daughter-in-law, Patricia Wood of Dunn Loring; her brother-in-law, Harold Girard of Adams; her granddaughter, Jennifer Schoenefeldt and her husband, Stephen, of Herndon, Va.; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylan, Stephen, Jacob and Alexa Schoenefeldt, all of Herndon; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
