Howard F. "Rick" Randall

Howard F. "Rick" Randall, 61, of 19 Elder Ave., died Wednesday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Sept. 30, 1945, son of Sarah Jones Lowry Randall and the late Thurman Randall, he attended Drury High School. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was discharged with the rank of sergeant and received several campaign medals. Mr. Randall was employed by Petricca Construction Co. in Pittsfield for many years as a heavy equipment engineer. He was an active member of Dr. George L. Curran Post 996 Veterans of Foreign Wars and a founding member of the North Adams AMVETS. Besides his mother, of Adams, he leaves two daughters, Karen Randall of Clarksburg and Kelly Klimek of Ludlow; two sons, Robert Bushika and Chase Randall, both of North Adams; a sister, Susan Sobon of Adams; three brothers, Stanley Randall of Lunenburg, Alan Randall of Cheshire and Timothy Randall of North Adams; and a grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Howard F. "Rick" Randall will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams, by the Rev. David Anderson, pastor of First Baptist Church of North Adams. Burial with military honors will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested for the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home. Mr. Randall also leaves a grandson, Zachary Klimek; an aunt, Gwen Bushika; several nieces and nephews.
