Elizabeth C. Ryan, 88, of 420 Greylock St. died Sunday at home. Born in Airde, Scotland, on Dec. 2, 1918, daughter of Daniel and Susan McMahon Christie, she moved to New York as a child and graduated from Roosevelt High School and from business college. Mrs. Ryan lived on Long Island and then in Scottsdale, Ariz., until moving to Lee. Her husband, William J. Ryan, whom she married in August 1947, died Oct. 26, 1994. She leaves a daughter, Susan Korn, with whom she had resided since 1986; a son, William T. Ryan of Richmond, Calif.; and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Elizabeth C. Ryan, who died Sunday, April 29, 2007, will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. There will no visiting hours. Friends wishing may make donations to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Mrs. Ryan also leaves her beloved grandchildren Dana, Michael, Brendan, Aileen and Ashley; her son-in-law, Mitchell Korn; and her daughter-in-law, Anne, Ryan; her niece, Susan Murphy, who was like her mother; and her great-niece and -nephew Elizabeth and Daniel Murphy.
