Peter D. Fraser Jr.

Peter D. Fraser Jr., 47, of Devon Road died Friday evening when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving struck a tree on the Hollywood Club property in Colton, St. Lawrence County, N.Y. Born in Pittsfield on March 21, 1960, son of Dorothy P. Fraser and the late Peter D. Fraser Sr., he graduated from Lee High School in 1978 and attended Springfield Technical College. Mr. Fraser was employed by Touponce Inc. until September 2006, when he joined Southern States Used Cars. Before that, he worked with his father in the family business at Fraser Motor Sales and Esso Service on Main Street and, later, at Fraser Sales Inc. at Windsock Industrial Park. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the New England Trail Riders Association and the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders in New Hampshire. He was a member of the Hollywood Club, a private hunting club in Colton. and a member of the "Spaten Boys' Club." He also was active along with his daughters in the Scottish Highland Dancers. Besides his mother, of Lee, he leaves his former wife, the former Tracey Mougin of Lee; three daughters, Amanda Fraser, Anna Fraser and Mary Emma Fraser, all of Lee; a brother, David P. Fraser of Milford, N.H.; four sisters, Susan F. Sullivan of Lee, Sandra F. Stasco of Garden City, N.Y., Diane F. Kend of Madison, N.H., and Laura F. Betz of Columbia, Md. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Peter D. Fraser Jr., who died Friday, May 4, 2007, will be Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours will be tomorrow evening from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make donations to an education fund for Peter's children, in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. Peter also leaves his uncle, John A. Fraser; his sister-in-law Christine Fraser; his brothers-in-law, Dan Sullivan, William Stasco, Robert Kend and Nathan Betz; and nieces and nephews.
