Anna Kornas

Anna Kornas, 74, of 115 Summer St., died Sunday at home. Born in Wronki, Poland, on July 4, 1932, daughter of Wojciech and Anna Chojan Kaczmarek, she graduated from high school there in 1950. Sheemigrated to Adams in 1966 and became a U.S. citizen on March 4, 1992. Mrs. Kornas was employed by General Electric Co. as an assembler in the power transformer division for 15 years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. She and her husband, Edward Kornas, were married March 27, 1967. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Jana Koza of Cheshire and Rose Domanski of Adams; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Anna Kornas, who died Sunday, May 6, 2007, will be conducted tomorrow at 5 p.m. at TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Catholic Community of Adams. Burial will be at a later date in Wronki, Poland. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, including her family, including her five grandchildren, Lisa Koza Herbert and her husband, Garrett, Michelle Whitney and her husband, Eric, Nicole Bassinger, Carrie Domanski and Joshua Alletson; her son-in-law, John; and her nieces and nephews.
